SOME IMPORTANT MILE-STONES
 

 

  • 1986 – Recognition granted to parent unit C.J. Kansara by Reserve Bank of India &  I. G. Mint , Mumbai for mark “CJK” on silver.

  • 1991 – One of the first gold refineries in organized sector after  repealment of gold control act.

  • 1996 – First gold refinery in organized sector to start refining of  gold to 999.0 fineness with indigenously developed equipment & technology.

  • 2000 – One amongst the first five Assaying & Hallmarking Centers   for Gold & Gold Jewellery in the country recognized by Bureau of Indian Standards.  (New Delhi)

  • Feb 2002 – Received IS / ISO 9002:1994 certification.

  • Nov 2002 – Received IS / ISO 9001:2000 certification.

  • 2004 - Contributed to almost 20% of all hallmarked jewellery in India.

  • Between April 2004 to March 2005 - 4,97,000 pieces of gold jewellery/artifacts hallmarked.

  • Nov 2005 – Amongst the first few BIS Approved Assaying & Hallmarking Centers in India to receive NABL Accreditation as per ISO/IEC 17025:1999 International Standard.

  • FEBRUARY 2006 - The second Assaying & Hallmarking centre at Vadodara, Gujarat, INDIA becomes operational.

  • FEBRUARY 2006 - First Recognition granted by BIS to Ahmedabad Unit for Assaying & Hallmarking of Silver jewellery/artifacts.
